Description
Book 2, chapter 5 of my Asuka x Rei fanfic. Nerv headquarters is finally getting up to speed and new (and newly recovered) personnel are taken into full time employment. In the city above, conflict is brewing between partners in the police department, conflict that looks like it might be mirrored within Nerv as well. The Angels, however, have no qualms about attacking during times of turmoil...

Back to chapter 4.
After one heck of a big last submission, I'm back and posting promised chapters to my main project. I'm pretty happy with how this chapter turned out (definitely more so than the last chapter, which I might re-edit at some point soon in order to iron out some perceived flaws). I've also tried to get into Rei's head a bit more than previously, which I think has been relatively successful. In fact, it's a real pity I end up killing her off in this chapter... JUST KIDDING! XD
Or am I...?
Comments please, as always! They go in that long thin strip of white with the triangle sticking off one end, just under what I'm writing here.
