Strange and Beautiful Part 1.

Hi everyone, apologies to people waiting for updates to The End and After - chapters are coming, I promise!  However, I felt the need to post something after such a long hiatus, just to prove that I am still alive and still writing.  I've been around DA (kinda) but haven't got anywhere near the amount of writing I was hoping to get done this year, which is a source of frustration to me.  So, yeah, this is kind of an attempt to get myself back in the game.  Or at least prevent my writing abilities from seizing up completely!

So, this is a Bellatrix x Hermione Harry Potter fanfic, set at around the middle of book six.  It's a strange pairing, I know, and I wasn't sure exactly where it was going when I started it.  I have since read up on some other yuri and femslash Harry Potter fanfiction, including the excellent Those Gilded Chains We Wear which has greatly influenced me (and which I realise I have little hope of living up to! ).  That said, I'm hoping Strange and Beautiful will be quite distinct from Those Gilded Chains and will carve its own little niche in Harry Potter fanfiction-dom, even if I know it will never stand up to that behemoth of the genre!

There will definitely be a part 2 to this, and possibly a part three depending on whether I can wrap up the story sufficiently.  Originally this was intended to be a short work, but this part alone is over 15,000 words, so, so much for that, eh?  Hopefully in my efforts to keep the word count down, I haven't rushed the story too much... but please feel free to tell me if I have!

And no, I don't only write yuri fanfiction...

Oh, and almost forget the disclaimer: all characters belong to JK Rowling, more props to her. XD

Some minor spelling and grammatical fixes, and corrected mistakenly calling the Three Broomsticks the Hog's Head.
